TINY HOME, BIG PURR
A home for you. A good world for your cat.
Small spaces make every object feel like a decision. We help make those decisions a little more thoughtful.
Why this project exists
Tiny Home, Big Purr is an independent project started by a cat owner based in the Netherlands, with English-language guides for people sharing small homes and apartments with cats. The starting question is simple: how can a room work for both the people and the cat who live there?
Our guides focus on practical layouts, measurements, access, cleaning, and sensible questions to ask before buying. We write for an American audience first, while recognizing that homes, products, rental rules, and shopping options differ by country.
Cat needs come before the tidy photo
A smaller item is not automatically a better choice. A litter box needs to be usable, a scratching surface needs to suit the cat, and a resting place needs to be more than a decorative corner. We link the cat-care basics to veterinary and animal-welfare sources, and keep our own planning suggestions distinct.
What we have and have not tested
The current guides are research-based planning articles. No product in these articles is presented as tested by us. We do not use purchased reviews, invented ratings, or testimonials. When we publish firsthand observations later, we will explain what was actually measured or used and what remains unknown.
Where to start
Try the room-first layout guide, or choose the one corner that is bothering you most. You do not need to buy everything at once.
